Probably buying a new engine - 116i
Hi,
I have a 2007 116i that had a problem with the timing chain and as far as we have gotten in examining it it seems that we need a complete new engine. Are these available here in Finland? I would rather get a good used engine than a new or re-manufactured one. How much do you guess this will be? Ouch!!

Timing chain problems are common with that engine, it get's loose and jumps accross few teeth. But, don't worry, it doesn't cause any destruction! Just get a new timing chain kit fitted (with the new model tensioner) and you're good to go
